Viva Las Vegas! Xelleration and Speridian team members attend Microsoft’s Inspire Conference.

This month, members of the Xelleration and Speridian teams traveled to Las Vegas, Nevada, to attend Microsoft’s annual partner conference, Inspire. For the first time ever, Inspire was combined with Microsoft’s Ready event, which meant over 40,000 Microsoft partners and sales team members took over the Las Vegas strip.

During the 4-day event, our team members took part in key networking events and meetings, as well as attended informational sessions that centered around IoT, DevOps, partner offers, and AI.

One of the highlights of the convention was watching Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella, speak about the vision, mission, and technology focuses of the new fiscal year. Satya focused on a handful of key topics during his Corenote address, including the intelligent cloud and intelligent edge, the expansion of the Azure platform, the rapid growth of Dynamics 365 and Power BI data visualization, as well as demonstrating his personal work flow within the Microsoft 365 suite.

AI technology also played a starring role during Satya’s presentation: “Ultimately, the potential is "for us to be able to turn every industry into an AI-first industry - whether it's retail or health care or agriculture. We want to be able to make sure that they can take their data, in a secure, privacy-preserving way, [and] can work that into AI capabilities that they get the return on."

Another central theme emphasized in many Corenote speeches, was the subject of customer privacy. Microsoft’s President and Chief Legal Officer, Brad Smith stressed their commitment to improving security and privacy, while discussing the role of ethics of AI. "Privacy is a fundamental human right… Our fundamental value proposition for our customers, not just as a company, but as a community, that we will help them better protect the privacy of their customers."  GDRP regulation was just the beginning, and now we must work to assure that everyone is safeguarded when it comes to cyber security.

Overall, the event was a great way to kick off the new fiscal year. Even though the summer desert temperatures were well into the triple digits (in Fahrenheit), our team kept their cool, and made the most of everything Inspire had to offer!

Looking towards the future, we are excited to embark on another successful year as a Microsoft Managed Gold Certified Partner

and provide excellence across all our solutions to our clients and partners.
