The key to a successful project is a detailed, thought-out design. Each project is executed by a project team made up of Microsoft Gold Certified experts that are up-to-date on the latest technologies.
While familiar with a variety of project and development methodologies, the Xelleration project teams generally follow a SCRUM methodology. Each engagement begins with a strategic planning phase and evolves through execution, allowing clients to recognize how the technology will affect their organization. The end goal is to ensure that the client’s technical and business infrastructures are aligned with their business objectives and helping them do more as an organization.
Our approach to the Waterfall model breaks your initiative into sequential phases. If your project lends itself to this approach, we’ll guide you through the initial planning steps, which include defining requirements, assessing your current environment and creating a “future state” design. This will lead to next phase steps, including constructing, developing and testing the new environment and deploying to production, culminating in the final step of ongoing maintenance.
Our approach to the Agile model breaks your initiative into small increments that minimize the amount of up-front planning and design. Iterations are short time frames (timeboxes) that typically last from one to four weeks. Each iteration involves a cross-functional team working in all functions: planning, analyzing, designing, coding, unit testing, and acceptance testing. At the end of the iteration a working product is demonstrated to stakeholders. This minimizes overall risk and allows the product to adapt to changes quickly.
Since each project will vary in complexity and key business drivers, creating a custom approach for each solution is something that we do well. In the case of leveraging the best of both structure and adaptive models, we often leverage a model that includes a more in-depth up front planning of the structured waterfall methodology but use the adaptive approach to deliver usable functionality on a regular basis throughout the life of the project.
Our approach to project management not only focuses on effectively managing the primary four constraints of scope, time, quality and budget, but also on optimizing the allocation of all project resources.
Our team is not only qualified and certified in the various technologies but is also skilled in Project Management best practices, guidelines and operating procedures. We believe that effective Project Management should help to ensure you maximize ROI and ensure effective risk management.
Our approach to project management varies from project to project and is driven by variables like the technology, size and complexity of your project.
